What makes you truly happy?
This is such an important question to be asking yourself on a daily. What fuels you and what drains you? I’ve been consciously choosing to do and surround myself with people who lift me up and I them. Break down the limitations of your mind and step into the life that has been waiting for you. I love to travel, see culture, history and meet new people on this path. I also love to be at home with my husband and dog, cook delicious meals and be cozy. What lights you up? And most importantly what steps do you need to take to achieve this reality?

Meditation is as simple as bringing your focus back to breath, presence and full awareness. Even though awareness may drift between thoughts, the past or the future. Meditation is simply bringing your awareness back to the present moment using breath.
Meditation can be done anywhere, you don't need a quiet room, or a power spot like #minyonfalls. it is actually a great practice to meditate in loud places with distractions becuase the world is never really quiet and niether is the mind, except in a state of presence and full awareness of the body, there is stillness.
The goal is not to control your thoughts but to stop letting your thoughts control you and pull you out of the present moment, but when that happens, witness it and use breath to bring awareness back to senses, sensations and presence.

Here is a super quick and easy lunch idea. Chicken, lentil and feta salad with chilli lime dressing
INGREDIENTS for 1 serve 60g cooked lean chicken breast, shredded 85g (1/2 cup) canned lentils, rinsed, drained 1 celery stick, coarsely chopped 75g cherry tomatoes, halved 30g baby rocket 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil 1/2 teaspoon sambal oelek 20g feta, crumbled
METHOD Combine chicken, lentils, celery, tomatoes and rocket in a large bowl. Combine lime juice, oil and sambal oelek in a small bowl. Add to salad and toss to combine. Serve topped with feta.

Coming ‘home’ into our bodies and just taking things how they are can be so hard when our brain is used to planning, organising, striving and living for the next thing. Sometimes you just have to sit with yourself and see what it is you need right now. Not what worries or excites you about tomorrow, a week from now or the next year- what your body is doing for you right now. What is in this moment that makes you happy, what is in this moment that brings you joy. Cause that is all we really have 🌼
2019: I’m making the connection between the brain and the organs visible. .
Last year I ran a lot of workshops focussing on Emotional Intelligence. While I’ll still be running them sporadically, this year I’ll be rolling out a new topic on the Mind-Body Connection. It’s all science based yet explained in laymen terms. Understand HOW, WHY and WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. .
The first one kicks off at Kincumber on the Central Coast on 17th Feb at my fave studio, @mysanyoga. Then I have a few in NZ, then back to Oz….and the year will roll out like that. .
