How about a little castle? Mountains nearby, not one but two lakes at the backdoor and the next castle neighbor is few hundred meters away 🏰
Oh and did I mention a lot of sunsets like these? 🌄
Life around the beaches is so chaotic. It's almost never quiet, bustling with a thousand voices of people and the sea both creating a beautiful symphony of sorts. There's the rushing waves, the ever changing sun, running children, complaining adults. I guess that makes beaches alive. What do you think? 🤔🤔🌅🌞🌞 .

“Lass sie ruhen die Vergangenheit”, hör ich (Natalie) immer sagen.
Wir sind doch alle das Produkt der Geschichte, der Vergangenheit. Sie bleibt ein Teil von Dir, sie hat dich geformt und aus dir gemacht was du jetzt bist,
mit allen Fassetten die zum Leben dazu gehören.
Went for a walk in the desert and found a rainbow! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Funny little backstory. I grabbed my camera and bag and noticed that 3 out of 4 batteries were dead and the last one only had 40% charge. How does that happen? I swear I always keep a constant rotation of batteries charging. 🤷🏻♀️
Thursday night shenanigans.
The night didn’t start off as planned. My ballhead adjustment knob is broken and I forgot the temporary “fix” on my desk at home. As a result I had to use one of Gorillapods as a tripod which severely limited the compositions I had in mind for this shoot. I am already itching to go back and improve on this particular shot. In the end, it was ultimately about getting out on an impromptu walk about with a few friends and having fun; there was certainly no shortage of jokes and full on belly laughs.
In the end, even for those of us that shoot professionally, it is important to keep the fun aspects of shooting in mind. It can’t always be about work and nailing the exact shot every single time. Make sure you get out and shoot purely for the fun of it, or maybe purely for the experience of being out in mountains with your friends. Keep that passion alive my friends!
I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!
He introduced himself as Mr. Tilak – and after fifteen years of being a guide, he spoke English better than most.
Mr. Tilak was an outdoors man and smelled like the sun. He wore the radiance of the day like a king’s robe.
Mr. Tilak took his time explaining the history of a place – and he led us down unpaved paths less travelled to show us less ordinary things.
Such as the ancient King’s Seat which had been overrun by grass.
I wanted to take his photo there – but he told me to wait because he knew a “perfect spot” closer to the top of the hike.
So, I waited – and took his portrait at the spot he recommended. He tried three different poses – at his behest – before I clicked my camera.
Mr. Tilak made the treacherous climb seem easier than it was. He made a difficult trek more fun.
This was a man who clearly enjoyed what he did. He loved his country and was proud to share it with visitors.

Do you remember his hair?
Black texture frosted with specks of white
Patches of baldness growing from the stress of old age
Do you remember his eyes?
Brown circles with rims of darkness
Tears of pain pouring from the loneliness of the years
Do you remember his smile?
Pink edged with the bush of a mustache
Chapped skin drying from the carelessness, worthlessness
Do you remember at all?
Rainbow hues smothered by a daughter’s laughter
A father fading, dissolving, and leaving as just a memory
