I’ve always said that music and fitness go hand in hand. I created the booty-infused workout so that each song cohesively went with each exercise (thank you @defmusic_la for killing that live mix!). My intention behind the @bootyfitworkout event was to create a workout environment that is safe, fun, energetic and full of booty shaking. Assignment 5️⃣ is a simple side crunch to work both the #obliques, as well as the ever important lower abs. This is also a good way to strengthen that knee hold, which is one of the most important contact points for an endless number of tricks.
Place your grounded foot a comfortable distance away from the pole (so your other thigh can be perpendicular to the pole when in your knee hold). Make sure you have a firm grip with your other knee on the pole, put your hands behind your head, elbows out, and crunch sideways, trying not to bend forward or backwards at the waist (like you are sandwiched between two panes of glass). Do 5-10 reps on each side. For more intensity, you can try with your arms raised straight reaching above your head.
Don't forget to breathe! Cool down with a nice standing forward fold. Good luck!

Great weekend of swimming - 7 races! This swimmer did some personal bests and made some new highlights in his masters swimming career! 😀😀😀 First time doing 200 M Butterfly 🦋 in my life and I loved it! This going to be my newest favorite race! (FYI first time I learned the basics of fly were back in 2012) Made a 2 second improvement in my 100 M 🦋🙏🏽. Time to continue working on improving my technique and endurance and progress will be made. 🏅
Who knew 2016 September joining @dsctoronto I would swim 200 Fly! What is most remarkable is I finished it and did not die! I was jumping with joy! FLY brings me joy! I think I could be a mid-distance swimmer. Great accomplishment! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Thank you to my teammates for all the tips and cheering me on! Proud of all your accomplishments! You eat all the time, thus you’re fat.
Eating the right foods AND eating less go hand in hand.
It’s simple and it fucking works.
When you eat quality foods you fill up faster and get more nutrients.
Thus, less caloric intake and less fat gain.
Pair that up with exercise and a good sleep habits and lo and behold, you aren’t 50 lbs overweight.
You don’t have to like my delivery, but I don’t care if it offends you.
I’m not offending you, the facts are.
Your shortcomings offend you.
