This month in 1984, The Cars released their fifth studio album 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺. The album features hits "Drive", "Magic" and "You Might Think". Today we celebrate its 35th anniversary.
Fact: The album was produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange. His commitment to the Cars album meant he couldn't work on the Def Leppard album 𝘏𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢. He was later able to work on it anyway due to delays.
On this day in 1963, the studio album Please Please Me was rush-released. From the band's early years that sparked a global frenzy, captured the hearts of a generation, and forever changed rock and roll.

I missed my #vinyloftheday for the first time today (yesterday) because I wasn’t home long enough to spin any tunes. It was a good run, new year resolution’19.
In lieu of a picture of a record, here’s a blurry picture of @theteapartyband. Turns out 33 year old Elaine cannot slither her way to the front like she used to and saw most of the show from the back (the second picture is my view for most of the show... the bands’ reflection in the mirror haha!). #vinyloftheday 80:365 #theteaparty#live#blackrivertour
#album of the week — This week is a double feature! @strfkr_music has been one of my favorite bands for a long time now. I’ve been fortunate enough to interview their frontman and get copies of their two most recent albums signed — at separate shows. I’ve always enjoyed they make because it’s sad/deep music you can dance to and they put on one hell of a show.
