Celebrating today because the edges of depression have lifted!
A month ago, when I started my job & I was faced with getting dressed everyday (cause, ya know, human contact)- it was SO HARD. The weekend would come & I wanted nothing but to sleep. The exact words to Jeremiah were, "I'm tired of getting dressed". I didnt realize how lazy & sad I was. I asked for prayer at church & found myself still going through the motions of work, cleaning, repeat. I wanted nothing more than to have energy. Not even happiness, just energy.
Today I woke up & WANTED to get dressed. I went to my lash appt in actual clothes & walked out feeling great! I actually want to go out and do something today. This is so day----> night from what I was, not too long ago. To wake up with energy AND happiness is 😭😭 THANK YOU JESUS. Without going into detail of every situation, things have been falling into place and stitching together.
Why am I oversharing my anxiety & depression lately?! BECAUSE ITS HARD! It's time to celebrate the tiny victories! It's time to acknowledge what keeps you in depression & what can free you of it! I wish with all my heart that I had someone to encourage & motivate me that mental health wasnt going to take over my life forever. It's time for YOU to see that there is light. Push for it. Celebrate the small victories.
