The Czech vignette.
Road tax basically.
Each country has its own rules on these. They're only €10 but if you don't get one and drive on roads you need them, the fines are rediculous.
This was the only physical one we had. It had to bought from a petrol station as soon as you got in the Czech Republic. And you put it on your car.
Poland, didn't need one, as its a polish car, but they're main motorways had tolls. Cost you £2.17 everytime you went through one. There were probably about 5 all through poland on our route.
Slovakia was the easiest. 'Drive on our 4 motorways and buy one'. We didn't go on them, so didn't need one.
Hungarys was bought online. You don't have to have one unless you drive on certain roads. Sat nav wanted to go that way so we bought it online.
There'd be police checks and big ass metal frames in the road, not unsimilar to speed cameras, just checking you'd got one.
Getting this Czech one, seen as we're driving the whole country today shaved loads of time and distance off our route #nobrainer#vignette#roadtrip#czechrepublic#eurotrip#roadtax#czechrepublic🇨🇿#roads#trip#europe
