I’ve been there and my gosh I think it’ll forever be the hardest thing I’ve ever done 👊🏼 rollercoaster of emotions! 🎢 I can remember crying driving all those miles home from Hull after a shift because I just felt like I couldn’t cope with how upsetting and cruel life really is sometimes. I struggled to get my head around how one place could be so happy but then in the next room be so sooo sad 💔
One patient said to me yesterday ‘you made my week last time I saw you Amy, I’ve never met a nurse like you’ ♥️ I literally welled up! 😅 don’t ever give up, you started for a reason and you can make it to the end 💪🏼 those patients need us 💖

ATG calf raises! Story time: Last summer I was at a party playing basketball for 5 hours straight with no warm up, cool down, breaks, water, nothing. I actually pulled my calf muscle at the end of the night and it was serious, it was like someone was ripping my calf. Anyways ever since that day it’s been weird to do calf exercises that’s why my calves are skinny 💀. Tried these out yesterday and it felt off at first but I got used to it and it feels amazing! 💪🏾
So just wanting to keep it real especially for my female followers! 🙋🏼♀️ this is my belly today 😭 my poor belly has been taking such a hit for months and months now 😫 but I just kept thinking “ oh that’s just because I have reintroduce dairy or breads ect “ surely it will ease up. .
Unfortunately it hasn’t and it’s beyond uncomfortable 😣 I don’t care about looking bloated it’s the fact this is so uncomfortable internally it hurts to breath.
I am feeling lethargic most days, my sleep is put off by it and it actually makes me feel nauseous. .
So I finally went to doctors 🤦🏼♀️ had my bloods and stool samples taken 🙁 that’s gross 😂 but it turns out I have a intolerance to gluten and dairy 🤷🏼♀️ I was like WTF I have never had issues and now it has just appeared. This is possible the doctor has stated. I have one more test Tuesday to check for parasites 🦠 in my intestines and bowls.
This becomes so unbelievably uncomfortable I struggle to train some days and I don’t want to be on social media because of it. The last thing I feel like doing is taking pictures when I feel so yuck 🤢 .
So this is to remind you ladies that I don’t always have a flat a belly and feel great, that I don’t always show my struggles on social media but you are not alone on those days you feel insecure, uncomfortable with in yourself! And if you are not feeling great don’t be like me and make excuses as to why you don’t have time to go to the doctors. From traps to glutes all the way down to calves, never skip a single body part. Even if you hate training it, force yourself to anyway. Through time it all comes together and flows perfectly like a masterpiece.
Leg growth. I’ve been married to the gym for nearly three years now. My first year of training I didn’t train legs at all. Like not once. There’s no other explanation other than just being a pussy. Training legs compared to any other body part is a whole nother universe. You actually have to re-wire your brain into accepting pain as something positive. You want to consume plenty of water and carbs throughout the day prior to the session. It is a painfully exhausting session but it is extremely satisfying walking out of the gym with a chip on the shoulder knowing you did damage. It can be difficult to monitor progress and see changes when you see your body everyday but I knew I was making growth when I no longer can fit my ass into any pants or underwear.
The only time you should look back guys is just for a second,just to see how far you have come and keep going to reach your very best! Stay your course,work hard and be patient,it’ll all be ok. #getset •
