“After that they bought some ice cream cones, and after that they drank pop out of bottles. And then they got peanuts in a bag, and walked up the street eating them, and scattering the shells and laughing; and everything was all right again.” 1939 Medal Winner: Thimble Summer by Elizabeth Enright #Thimble Summer #ElizabethEnright#beautifulquotes#eugeneoregon @euglibrary
I received this 130 piece sewing kit from SouthSun. It comes with everything needed to start a project, or patch up clothes. The case keeps everything neatly organized, and makes it easy to pack up with you to bring on the go. This kit includes thread. scissors, needles, a thimble, fabric chalk, a crochet hook and more! It is perfect for beginners or experts, and makes a great gift. I am new to sewing, and I am excited I got this as my first set. It is something I plan to use often, and can’t wait to learn how to sew! This kit is affordable, and I highly recommend it. To learn more or buy a kit of your own please go here:
This is a prototype thimble that I made for practice before I start on a custom silver one for a good friend.✨
I really enjoy making practical use items like these. Making jewelry is always a good time, but to me it’s even better when I can take those finer elements and include them in things like this thimble. Stepping up to that metal smith level (eventually). 🤷🏼♂️💪⚒
Have something you need that’s more common use? Perhaps that could be made out of silver or brass? I relish the opportunity to take on these challenges and would love to hear about what kinds of everyday items you think could be made in this way! 🔱🔱🔱
WOW,WOW, WOW 😲

I love collecting vintage textiles and accessories as inspiration for colour and details. This is a hand beaded collar by Baar & Beads Japan which was falling apart but which our beaders very kindly repaired for me. No excuse not to wear it this weekend!
