A sure sign of cleansing renewal, just after emerging from the sweat lodge: a double rainbow.
What an incredible experience.
From the fire tenders who spent hours splitting wood & mindfully placing rocks beneath the wood & then transporting rocks one by one into the sweatlodge
To our guide who so gently, kindly & clearly led us through tradition, ceremony, song & prayers, encouraging each of us to be fully present & witness as well as share,
To the beauty of the lodge itself; curved saplings arching overhead, draped in blankets with dried herbs tucked in next to ribbons of red, white, yellow & black fabric strands to the eagle feather just overhead,
To the molten hot stones in the pit in our center, glowing so red hot you could see their outlines in the pitch black of the lodge
To the depth of honest & vulnerable sharing of the participants who spoke their truth & hearts To our bodies releasing in rivulets of sweat pouring down faces, arms, backs, chests, legs back into Mother Earth.
What an absolutely amazing day spent @purifysweatlodge for our Sunday Funday Facial Event! 💥
Purifiers were treated to a steam session before heating up and beginning with a Facial Massage incorporating Gua Sha, followed by a Cleanse, Exfoliation (with optional Dermaplaning), Extractions and ending with a Cooling Gel Masque, Lip and Eye treatment 🤗
We booked every spot so be sure to look out for our next event and book in early 🤩
A letter to Earth Mother 🌏🍇..
I am one voice but I rest on the shoulders of ancestors, I sing with a choir of conscious beings willing to be the change, to come together and forge a new path to a sustainable future for all..
I am one voice but my words move on the breath of life that cycles through all beings. The breath that reminds us that we are weaved together into the same tapestry, always in a state of exchange..
I am one voice, yet one is all there is, and when your children reach the end of their journey of separating i hope they will remember this, and know, that what you do to another, to the earth mother and to all her inhabitants, you do to yourself, to all..
Every action, every thought, every emotion ripples through the universe...
I pray for the burning forests of the Amazon, for the dying oceans, for the toxic air we breath, for the suffering we create for profit and convenience to cease..
May we all work to restore the beauty and glory this experience we are having is here to be..
I pray for the greedy, the corrupt, the power hungry, the shortsighted, the ignorant and the wicked to wake up and live a life of integrity, compassion, and unity with earth, with each other, with nature, with the elements..
Here in the dark of a sweat lodge, I weep, for my part in the damage. For the pain I have caused on my journey.. .
I pray to be a vortex that brings down knowledge from heaven and wisdom from the earth..
May my presence spark understanding in the hearts of the Earth Walkers, may we all learn to be human, to live a life of value, love and respect for our earth and for all beings who co-habitate on your sacred body..
I put each prayer into a cloth and wrap it with a rope to offer on the alter of change..
Earth mother, I am sorry for your suffering, for the state of humanity, but I am grateful for the lights that live amongst us, spreading hope, creating change, living in community, oneness and unity.. .
We’re not here long, we walk the earth in a short dream, but with this journey comes great responsibility. I hope to be the change and inspire others to do the same. So we may live in peace, beauty and harmony.
2nd time of #sweatlodge,#temazcales I tried it 3 yrs ago in NY retreat, but that time I couldn’t make it due to fear. Fear of darkness and silence made me think of difference of my root : Mago asian and Christian. I worried if I’ve got spiritual side effect so walked out. But this time, members who get in together were so familiar tho I’ve never met them before, and thanks to kindness shaman healers, I joined and finished well. Thank you all 🥳 #beyndthewall#meditation
and what a Wonderful Evening!
A few glimpses
into yesterday's Sweatlodge Ceremony
honoring the union and marriage
of two particular members
of our Ceremony Circle.
We are all leaves
on the Tree of Life.
And as such,
at this time of year,
it is our time to change color,
to let certain parts of ourselves
wither and die,
to let go of our metaphorical branches,
to allow those parts of our Selves
that no longer serve us
to float down to the ground,
to return to the earth,
to be swept away by the winter
and be gone.
When we do this, if we do this,
we make valuable space inside
that can be used and filled
with new things that serve us better.
is a time of inner dimension,
a time to harvest and take tally
of that which we sprouted
during the Spring and Summer,
but to now consider privately
those negatives no longer needed.
Consider the name Fall.
It could also be called
the Letting Go,
the Doing Away With,
the Withering Away and Dying
of that which has run its course.
For this loving couple
bringing their separate flames
they are shedding their leaves
they are making room on their branches
for more bountiful buds
they are connecting their roots
and growing their own new Tree
with this sharing of the Love
that they've found.
What a wonderful time of the year
to make Ceremony, Love,
and to get married.
Winter settles in soon,
the cleansing and purifying winds,
the rejuvenating snows,
and the sealing-in-of-the-freshness
will lock all these vows
are a Ceremony and a Prayer.
is a Ceremony and a Prayer.
All of Life
is a Ceremony and a Prayer.
Every. Single. Present. Moment.
Wild be. 🍁
Making prayer with tobacco medicine. We whisper our prayers into the sacred plant and when we burn the leaves, the spirit of the tobacco carries our prayers upward to be received by our ancestors, angels and benevolent masters. Honoring the alchemists of this earth - from form to ash to smoke to form again and again #posadanatura
Sweatlodgebuilding @The HealingHeartFestival in Geneva - a pleasure, an honor and yes - a lot of work and learning in the process. Every time, again and again. In the end, what it comes down to - is the INTENTION of co-creating in harmony with love and laughter ❤️
Peru: Yoga & Plant Medicine testimonial by Sam, Hongkong
I was curious about "plant medicine" and ayahuasca, as well as their potential to transform and heal, but I expected this to be delicate work. I felt that we should trust the people that facilitate this experience for us. From this perspective, there was no doubt that I would've chosen SOMAH and Simone as the vehicle for this journey. Simone, Emma, and the lovely Shamanic Medicine Sister Leti held a safe, loving space for us to prepare for this work, do it, be in it, and learn from it.
One more important thing that SOMAH and the team provided us: tools that supported gaining insights and learnings from this experience. Plant medicine work comes from millennia of ancient tradition - which Simone and the team honoured. This is deep spiritual work. They prepared us for this through sharing and practicing tools from yoga, meditation, indigenous traditions and philosophy, modern coaching and therapy models, intuitive nature practices, and most importantly - community.
Thank you SOMAH and "la familia" for being with us on this journey! I've been recommending this to everyone I've shared this experience with and will definitely consider coming again for another immersion.
This retreat changes the way you look and the world and yourself, in the biggest, most heart opening and reconnecting ways. February 1-10, 2020 & January 17-27, 2020

What is your connection to FIRE?
Just by writing this question now, a variety of practical and mystical images and experiences come up in my inner sky.
There are romantic images of gatherings, music, circles, togetherness, deep connections, ecstatic dances, endless sadness, intense reflections, smiles, cuddling love and so much more... There is this mysticism of transformation, that respect of it‘s destructive power and somehow that thrilling question mark of the unknown. The fire of the candle light gives me comfort, the fire of the kitchen fire warms my water and food, the fire of the Sweatlodge heats the stones, the fire of my heart encourages me to write this post, share and in this case, follow my path the best way I can by Weaving Sacred Ways with my sisters @winter_koskatlan and @temple.of.freya.
My elders have taught me, that the fire has a SPIRIT. That, like every element, it is alive. That the fire, is our GRANDFATHER, Xiuhtecuhtli in Nahuatl/Aztec language - that SUN, that seed of light, where all life comes from. I learned how to create over 20 different fires, how to initiate, how to tend, how to pray and how to Be with that Sacred Spirit. It supports my focus in life, grounds and most of all, it humbles me to the knowing that I know nothing and stay curious.
From that space I love to share and I invite you to join our retreat in Brazil, March 9-15 2020.
