Touchdown in Tokyo for the @mercedesbenz Vision EQS
Powered by two electric motors spread across both axles for four-wheel drive, the Vision EQS has a combined output of around 476HP and 760Nm of torque. This is sufficient to allow the car to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in a claimed 4.5sec and reach a top speed of more than 200km/h.
The two electric motors are able to send power to each individual wheel via a torque-vectoring set-up that is claimed to provide unparalleled levels of traction and handling prowess in the upper-luxury segment.
Its battery has an electric range of 700km, meanwhile it can be charged up to 80 percent in under 20 minutes.
