Climbing at night. I was really pleased that we managed a 9 pitch 6a climb (though a lot of it was easier than 6a) in just two and a half hours! The photos we took are kind of terrible but I'm too pleased not to share 😊
1. Scrambling up there the very top of the Arab steps.
2. Does this pass as an arty photo of @aaaaarghzombies?
3. An awful photo of me climbing in the darkness. .
I don’t have much to say about climbing in this post, but I will say that, I’m thankful for best friends that hold space for me to process all of my feelings about life. @tylerkersey, you’re a good one. Happy Wednesday friends! I hope you’re surrounded by people that don’t judge you when you ugly face cry. 🍻
Will I finally do Mutation 9a(+)this year? So far the weather hasn’t even allowed me to try it and with the comp season approaching I feel like time is running out... .

We are loving this post today! Thank you @lasportivana!
"I didn’t make sacrifices to send 'Algorithm.' I didn’t give up dessert. I still enjoyed a glass of wine at night with dinner. I ate $4 spicy pork super burritos from the food truck in Pocatello because—holy moly, they are delicious." Simon Bischoff (@_simonbischoff_) susses a 35-foot roof crack on Flinders Island, a remote 38-mile-long strip of granite, sand and boulders north of Tasmania. Bischoff spotted the extraordinary line, and he and photographer Olivia Page braved untrodden snake territory to access it—emergency assistance on Flinders, population 700, wasn't a given. The route (working name Dojo in the Sky) didn't go free this time, but is expected to come in at 29+ (5.13b). This photo appeared in Rock and Ice issue 240 (February 2017). Chip Chase (1958-2018) was an extraordinary climber and healer. As a climber he was a lifer, and if you pay attention to first ascents of classic routes you've certainly noticed his name. Fine Jade is one that I've done, and while many of the others are alluring they are ultimately too scary for me. I was lucky to have crossed paths with him a few times over the years and was always smitten with his good nature and positive attitude. Here is a shot from 1996 I took of him on Country Club Crack in Boulder Canyon. I was shocked at how hard the initial thin face crux (rated 11a back then) felt, but Chip made it look even easier than the given grade when he climbed it. I see now it's crept up to 11c. Chip passed away from cancer last September.

Margo Hayes @margojain doing her thing during the boulder qualification round at the 2019 @usaclimbing Combined Invitational. Margo moon walked, flew through the air, and did the weird “grab the leg to get it onto the volume splits” thing to secure a spot in the combined finals where she finished 5th overall. #LT11 @louderthan11 @lasportivana
Iv been told that the strongest climber usually has their shirt off. 🤣
What happens when there are two shirtless climbers?
I don’t remember @cahoconut (Kurt monster) ever putting a shirt on this entire week...
