I’ve had stomach issues for as long as i can remember. so, recently I took a deep dive at @greencirclewellness and got a whole gamut of tests done to figure out what’s going on in my gut.
through the testing we found that i have some nutrient deficiencies, food sensitivities/allergies and, unfortunately, an overgrowth of bacteria and a parasite in my small intestine (aka SIBO). TMI maybe? oh well sry 😬
in order to regulate the bacteria levels in my SI - I was put on a therapy plan with lots of different supplements, a couple of antibiotics and a special diet. through my treatment instructions, i was told to incorporate a few different foods that aide in fighting infection and inflammation. so, here’s a yummy smoothie recipe that includes some of the foods that were suggested to me, to assist in the healing process
SIBO shamrock shake 🍀
- 1/2 green banana - unripened bananas are rich in resistant strach which aides in improving digestive health
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 date, pit removed
- 2 inch piece of frozen aloe, may help to reduce gastrointestinal inflammation
- 1 tbsp @terrasoul spirulina, very high dense food that can help with inflammation and detox
- 1 cup @harmlessharvest coconut water
- roughly 10 mint leaves
- 1 scoop @ancientnutrition vanilla bone broth protein - incorporating this was tough for me since I am a plant based eater and don’t typically eat land animal products, but bone broth has been found to assist in gut healing

- 1 handful spinach (for the color 💚)
- 1 small pitted peeled avocado 🥑
- 1 frozen banana

a real Shamrock Shake☘️🤯🌈. Can you believe it?
We've heard that this St. Patrick's Day inspired drink
is delicious, so we decided to create our own version
with a slightly healthier twist! Don't get us wrong, we
fully support indulging every once and awhile, but if
you want to still drink something fun without all the
artificial flavors, you need to try this little recipe!
Ps. This shake is yummy foryou and for your kiddos
Here are the ingredients you need:
1 scoop @BiProUSA Bold Creamy Vanilla protein
cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (you can use
coconut milk or sy mil if you prefer)
1 frozen banana
1 cup spinach
2 tsp vanilla extract
Here's how to make it:
Place spinach, mint, and almond (soy or coconut)
milk in your blender and blend until all ingredients are
well mixed and smooth,
Add in the frozen banana, vanilla protein powder, and
the vanilla extract, and blend again until all the
ingredients are creamy and smooth. If you're like us
and you like your shake a little thicker than normal,
you can always add a little bit of ice to the mix!
Pour into glass, decorate with some fun #stpattysday
decor to make it look fun, and enjoy!
