Wat kun je doen aan steken in je zij tijdens het sporten? 😥

Sporters denken weleens last te krijgen van hun milt wanneer zij actief aan het sporten zijn. Dit kan bijvoorbeeld tijdens het hardlopen gebeuren🏃‍♂️. Je kunt een steek bij je middenrif voelen wanneer je binnen een korte periode intensief sport😵. Deze pijn wordt echter niet door de milt veroorzaakt. Mogelijk wordt de pijn namelijk veroorzaakt doordat de organen veel in beweging komen🤔. Hierdoor komt er veel druk te staan op de banden die de organen bij elkaar houden. Vooral als je net gegeten hebt is er een verhoogde kans op het krijgen van een steek in je zij🥘. Wat de oorzaak precies is, is niet helemaal duidelijk, maar gelukkig zijn er wel tips om de steken te voorkomen.

Enkele tips om steken in de zij te voorkomen: 😉☝️ 1.	Ga bij voorkeur niet hardlopen of intensief sporten net nadat je hebt gegeten of veel hebt gedronken.🏃‍♂️🥘 2.	Bouw je training langzaam op.🚶‍♂️ 3.	Haal diep adem tijdens het sporten😯

4.	Regelmatige buikspieroefeningen versterken je buikspieren, wat pijn in je zij helpt voorkomen.

Wat kun je doen als je steken krijgt?

Als je tijdens het sporten toch last krijgt, probeer dan vanuit je buik te ademen in plaats van je borst. Let ook op wanneer je uitademt. Veel mensen doen dat steeds als ze met de rechtervoet de grond raken. Probeer dan eens uit te ademen als je op je andere voet leunt. Je kunt ook als je veel pijn hebt, even pauze nemen. Een goede oefening is dan even zo ver mogelijk voorover buigen. Sometimes people think that as a coach/athlete I do not get nervous before a competition or that I am satisfied. 
This IS my life. I am fully invested in what I do with my entire being. I put everything I have into what I do.

Competition is where we truly see if what I have been guiding people through has been good and beneficial or if I did a horrible job. 
My "fear" around all of this is more the respect for what we are doing. 
I respect the difficulty of what we do and I want to do well, I want my athletes to do well, I want everyone competing to do well. 
Regardless of what I have done in the past it does not guarantee future success. 
I try to lease a very high level of physical ability and the price of such fitness is a daily payment of sweat equity and equal parts menta fortitude. 
Being nervous/afraid before competition or an event is good. You care, you are invested. That is much better than being apathetic.

Continuing with daily training sessions together with PT @edmanjoel 
I started with a slow 1 km warmup run on 5:50. 🏃‍♂️
After that we went to the leg extension machine where we did 3x12 reps per leg. 
We continued with hip slides for the first time in a month or so and did between 10 and 12 reps per side and we did three sets. 
Then it was time for sumo deadlift. We started with 12 lifts on 60 kg, then 8 lifts on 80 kg before loading up today’s target 100 kg. We started with 1x2 and went on with 2x3 reps after that. Hopefully we will do more lifting soon as it is something I really enjoy. 👍🏻🏋🏼‍♀️💪🏻💪🏻

I saw an Instagram post yesterday where a pilates instructor said she had a dexa scan and was shocked to see her bone density was below average. .
The precursor to Osteoporosis is called Osteopenia,  a gradual thinning of the bone density. .
The most powerful method to increase bone density and halt bone loss is heavy resistance training. .
This is why I do a combination of flexibility,  stability AND STRENGTH  training with all of my clients. .
Just like we have ",Macros " in our nutrition , proteins carbs and fats, the macros of training are flexibility, stability and strength.

Pilates is a superb modality for flexibility and stability training. Weight training is the undisputed king of strength training. .
We need all 3 for a well rounded program. The flexibility and stability training form the Yin wing of your exercise program. Strength training provides the Yang wing of the program. .
I have never seen a bird that can fly with one wing.

Today’s session was hard... like... really hard. -

I woke up feeling tired. I felt like taking a leisurely walking to the gym, completing 3-4 intervals on the rower at a moderate intensity followed by a few sets of abs. -

I noticed I had this mindset of just get in and get the bare minimum done. -

I noticed it. So do you know what I did? -

6 intervals in the rower rather than 3-4 and all at paces which beat last weeks splits (where I was arguably more fresh and ready) 
An extra 30 minutes on the cross trainer because why not? 
Then rather than a few half hearted sets of abs I did extra on top of what I was supposed to and push through when all I wanted to do was stop and go home. -

Now some may argue I did too much. But that is only true if I can’t recover from it (I’ll let you know how that goes 😂) -

This is not just about building physical endurance but more importantly it is building mental endurance. Your mind can always. ALWAYS push you further than you think it can. -

Build the habit of pushing yourself just that little bit more when you don’t want to. You will become so much stronger and thank yourself in the long run. -

And needless to say. Don’t go so far you screw yourself up for a week or more and make yourself ill. If you genuinely wake up and honestly can’t push yourself through a gym session then take the rest and let yourself recover. But more often than not, you will be able to push yourself through it.

Leg Extensions

For this exercise you will need to use a leg extension machine. First choose your weight and sit on the machine with your legs under the pad (feet pointed forward) and the hands holding the side bars. This will be your starting position. Tip: You will need to adjust the pad so that it falls on top of your lower leg (just above your feet). Also, make sure that your legs form a 90-degree angle between the lower and upper leg. If the angle is less than 90-degrees then that means the knee is over the toes which in turn creates undue stress at the knee joint. If the machine is designed that way, either look for another machine or just make sure that when you start executing the exercise you stop going down once you hit the 90-degree angle.

Using your quadriceps, extend your legs to the maximum as you exhale. Ensure that the rest of the body remains stationary on the seat. Pause a second on the contracted position.

Slowly lower the weight back to the original position as you inhale, ensuring that you do not go past the 90-degree angle limit.

Repeat for the recommended amount of times. .

4. 6 x 40kg Deadball GTS 
5. 100m Deadball loaded carry.
Half hour workout but took a good hour to stop sweating! That one got me good!

Yesterday I posted a quote about a failure and how important is not to give up. 
I wanted to share a video of my failure and how I get frustrated sometimes but I know I never stop pushing harder.
I haven’t done deadlifts for a while and I’m perfectionist so I wanted to have my form 💯 correct yet my body wasn’t ready and I couldn’t lift anymore. Yes I got angry but I know next time I’ll push harder!!! Everyone is showing the perfection on social media but I wanted to show that things are not always perfect. 
So remember, it’s okay to fail but more important thing is not to give up!

در تمرینات بهتر است روی عضلات بزرگ بدن مانند عضلات پا، سینه و پشت و همچنین عضلات کوچک مانند بازو و ساق پا تمرکز کنید تا حجم بیشتری پیدا کنید. در کنار همه این‌ها، اینکه شما چقدر روتین ورزشی‌تان را دنبال کنید، میزان شدت تمرینات در حین تمرین چقدر باشد، چقدر در تمرینات ثابت قدم باشید و با تمرینات سازگاری پیدا کنید، در میزان پیشرفت شما اثر گذار است.

رژیم غذایی عضله سازی
اغلب ورزشکاران از اهمیت رژیم غذایی مطلع هستند و حتی در تلاشند تا آن را به بهترین نحو ممکن رعایت کنند، اما یا به دلیل عدم آگاهی و یا کم اهمیت جلو دادن برخی موارد، از آن غافل می‌شوند. آنچه که برای عضله سازی مهم و حیاتی به نظر می‌رسد، میزان کالری و پروتئین دریافتی برای بازسازی و رشد عضلات است، در کنار آن مصرف چربی سالم برای تولید و تنظیم هورمون‌های بدن و کربوهیدرات برای تأمین انرژی و ریکاوری بدن بسیار مهم است. در واقع کربوهیدرات یک سوخت هوشمند است که شما می‌توانید حتی بیشتر از پروتئین آن را مصرف کنید، هر چند که پروتئین برای عضله سازی مهم است، اما کربوهیدرات انرژی لازم برای انجام تمرینات را به شما می‌دهد.

شما به طور میانگین به 2 گرم پروتئین به ازای هر کیلوگرم از وزن بدن در 24 ساعت نیاز دارید، سایر کالری مورد نیاز شما باید از منابع مفید چربی و کربوهیدرات تأمین شود، اگر نتوانید این مورد را رعایت کنید، عضله سازی هم صورت نخواهد گرفت.

چقدر از خودتان انتظار داشته باشید؟
شاید منطقی به نظر نرسد که مقدار عضله سازی در طول یک سال را برای خودتان مشخص کنید. چرا که دلایل زیادی، از جمله عواملی که در این مطلب ذکر شد، به صورت مستقیم بر میزان عضله سازی شما نقش دارند. شما حتی اگر بهترین رژیم غذایی را داشته باشید و به سختی تمرین کنید، اما از ژنتیک خوبی بهرمند نباشید، ممکن است 2 تا 3 کیلو عضله در سال کسب کنید، حتی اگر بهترین ژنتیک را داشته باشید اما تمرین و تغذیه را به خوبی دنبال نکنید هم نتیجه چندانی نخواهید گرفت.

حتی لازم است بدانید، جنسیت و سن در میزان عضله‌ای که به دست می‌آورید نقش دارد، مثلاً خانم‌ها با چند ماه تمرین ممکن است افزایش 20 تا 40 درصدی در قدرت و استقامت عضله کسب کنند. پس سعی کنید، سخت تمرین کنید، تغذیه خوبی داشته باشید و به طور طبیعی به دنبال عضله‌سازی باشید.
