I bought these Chacos on sale in 2005. I wear them constantly, and they have gone with me on every single trip I’ve taken since. They’ve hiked many mountains and camped in many tents. But surprisingly, they’re still as strong and sturdy as ever. What the heck are those things made of? #iftheseshoescouldtalk
Definitely not one of the most recognizable falls within Yosemite, but the very first one I actually witnessed for myself close up. This fellah was a misty beast and set a good precedent for the rest to come within the park. Seemingly out of nowhere water would make its way over the granite cliffs pouring into the gulches below, as of coming from the heavens themselves. It’s easy to see why Yosemite was the birthplace of so many renowned photographers.
Ted hanging around on the South Face of the Petit Dru. Prior to this we had climbed on The West face then on the North Face and then finally finished with a 100m 'girdle' around and then up to the summit. Brilliant and tiring few days, thank goodness for strong partners! Various photos to follow.
When I look back to the time I’ve spent on this planet, I see myself making a journey- a good long one. Sure, there were times when I was at my highest and times when sunrises no longer excited me, times when I was insecure and times when I mishandled situations. But what’s important is when I look back today, I’m grateful for every thing I’ve done, every mistake I’ve made, every person I met, every place I travelled to, every time I danced, every time I cried out of frustration and for the times when I wasn’t me, because all of that made me the person I am today, it got me closer to myself.
Gratitude. It’s so important to take a moment, look around and present gratitude towards the universe. Appreciation is the first step towards manifestation, towards communicating with the universe and attracting whatever you wish for. Gratitude starts with being thankful and feeling abundance. When you express gratitude, you emit a frequency to the universe, not contentment, not satisfaction, not excitement but something more powerful than that. You emit a frequency to the universe which energises to a single word that is ’NOW’! Gratitude is a present tense emotion, a state, many humans are rarely in. That is what makes it an extremely strong one. Love now! Content now! Excitement now! Success now! In gratitude we live the biggest truth which is the present, because future is simply a state of mind. Tomorrow never comes. The only truth is this moment, NOW!
While I write this, I’m thankful for all the imbalances I’ve had, for today, that struck a good balance between my body, mind and soul. I take a moment to say, Thank You!
What do you think? Comment and let’s talk!

Heading out to New Zealand and Australia next month and the schedule has been filled up with shoots. Thankful for those who booked and to His grace that had been at work all throughout the planning process! So much stuff to work on but I’m pumped to travel and shoot again in those spots of grand landscapes and features!
Currently reading The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by @markmansonnet and I’m considering this as one of the must-read self-help books you need for a much better mentality about life in general. Get one!
Created @hayagcrib’s social media home! @tanyaraemd and I are really loving this project since it started and it has been an amazing ride so far after more than 10 stays! Learning so much along meeting awesome people!
“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.” ~ Anthony Burdain
This was one beautiful early morning shoot with @chinkeedoo and @chinkeedoo! Such were times I cherish! Kudos to Chino for the energy driving us in lengthy hours in crazy stretches of roads. See you soon guys! Will deliver your wedding photos myself! 😅
It has been an incredible stint here in New Zealand and I thought this really was one great way to start the year.
2018 has been a roller coaster for me and @hayagphotos and pretty sure it will be another one heck of a ride this time.
As I look out to the next 2 years, humongous loops and climbs need to be surpassed and surmounted both in career and my personal life.
Fear and pressure engulf deep within. It will be exhausting. It will be mentally and creatively challenging. Must be why bad things happened before because those were necessary for a reason - to prepare the self.
Because really, it’s not supposed to be easy.
Thank you very much @chinopoonam and @chinkeedoo for this photo!
