🌴 INDIA 🌴
DAY 223: Learning about India has been a dream! I decided to visit Barabar Caves today which are India's oldest hand-carved caves dating back to 252BC. Although they are small, their inside is polished making every surface like a mirror! The echo is like nothing I've ever heard before, I even joined in chanting 'ohm' with some other tourists who were visiting India for spiritual reasons. These caves have been used to chant mantras for 1000's of years! 😮 Afterwards I climbed the massive hill that the caves are built into barefoot, following many locals to the top where there's a Shiva temple. So many Hindu people were carrying water and supplies to the temple to perform 'Puja' which is a worship ceremony for Shiva. The last half of the day was spent cycling from town to town enjoying the various street food. After 70km, I managed to find a beautiful spot to camp - the pollution isn't bad here either, I can actually see the stars for once! ✨🇮🇳🌴🌳
