Max attended the press today. Here's what he said:
"I expect we can have a good weekend here in Singapore, but there are no guarantees. A lot has to go well, including the qualification. The point is that you have to find a good adjustment and balance in the car and the tricky thing about this Grand Prix is that you have sessions during the day and in the evening. You should not be surprised by that.”
Max continues: “More things need to be good for each other, before you can talk about scoring very good results. Of course we have better chances than at Spa or Monza, but let's first see how fast we are in the coming days. I'm just waiting for it."

What are your favorite team radio ? Can you remember? I remember Fernando Alonso's "Karma" , "To Whom it May concern" by Valtteri and classic "leave me alone I know what I'm going" by Kimi. You turn😀
NUOVA ICONA #8 - Michael Schumacher .
Jos talked with F1 podcast Beyond the Grid and told them when he saw that his son had a lot of talent: "That was soon when he was in a kart. He was about seven at the time. The most striking thing was his racecraft. When he started a race on cold tires, he was in his first lap he was always one second faster than all his opponents. If he was in the lead after the first corner, he was already one second ahead after the first lap. That to me is talent and feeling. That's what we can see when it's wet and a little grip, that's why he's fast."

Tanja May (@may_tanja, Stellv. #michaelschumacher#bunte#donnerstagistbuntetag
Fernando Alonso gave Mark Webber a very expensive taxi ride at the Singapore Grand Prix in 2013. Webber broke down on the penultimate lap of the race so Alonso stopped at the track to bring him back to the pits which got them both reprimanded, that was Webbers 3rd reprimand so he was given a 10 place grid drop in Korea. Christian Horner got a letter on his desk the following week from Ferrari with a $27500 bill including a $2500 tip for a taxi ride in the after hours.
Nico Rosberg held off a fast charging Daniel Ricciardo to retake the championship lead after winning the Singapore Grand Prix #OnThisDay
Nico Rosberg produced one of his greatest qualifying laps in his career, he beat teammate Hamilton by a whopping 7 tenths while Ricciardo managed to put his Red Bull in 2nd. Verstappen qualified 4th behind Hamilton with Raikkonen in 5th, Vettel was missing after a problem on his car left him last on the grid.
Romain Grosjean was classified as an nonstarter after brake problems moments betore the start ended his race before it even begun. A flying start by Rosberg saw him lead into turn 1, Verstappen on the other hand had an clutch problem and dropped like an stone through the field, Hulkenberg tangled with Sainz which speered him into the barriers. The first stint would be straight forward, Verstappen struggled to pass Kvyat so he tried the undercut after struggling massively on the first set of tyres. He rejoined behind Vettel after the latter made up a lot of places in the first few laps. Rosberg would control the whole race despite a late charge from Ricciardo for the lead, the German swung himself back into the championship after Hamilton finished 3rd behind Ricciardo and Rosberg. Vettel recovered to 5th behind Raikkonen with some stellar driving.
According to an interview with N-TV, Nico Hulkenberg is fully expecting to see the Schumacher name return to F1 in the near future. Mick Schumacher, 20, currently drives for Prema in F2, alongside Sean Gelael and is signed to the Ferrari Driver Academy programme, the same system that brought the likes of Sergio Perez, Jules Bianchi, Antonio Giovinazzi and Charles Leclerc into F1.
"I'm sure that we'll see him [Mick Schumacher] in Formula 1 in two years at the latest... Of course, you have to see the conditions under which he will grow. The expectations are extremely high, this is not an easy situation," was an extract of Nico Hulkenberg's interview with N-TV, during which he later praised Schumacher for recently claiming his first F2 victory, then touched on the differences between the modern F2 cars and the GP2 car which Hulkenberg drove in 2009 (shown bottom picture).
Next season, Schumacher must use the experience gained in 2019 and mount a full F2 title assault, in order to prove that he's worthy of an F1 drive. Should he place anywhere in the top 3, next year, then expect to see Schumacher in F1, at Alfa Romeo Racing, in 2021. However, he'll face strong competition from fellow FDA member and F2 rookie, who drives for the Sauber Junior Team by Charouz, Callum Ilott. 🏁🏁 | CREDITS: RACEFANS.NET & FORMULARAPIDA |
How Charles Leclerc took the role as number 1 driver after the Italian Grand Prix, some words by me.
F1 can be a controversial place and sometimes conspiracies do exist in the paddock, and although I'm not to keen on reading to much into them, but this time i truly have a sense that Leclerc might've played out a strategical masterclass in qualifying. Let's be honest here, Ferrari has always been a tough team to drive for, the pressure from Italy, within the team and from the media is enormous and a lot of drivers know that and so does Charles. Leclerc has been on an upwards trajectory of consistently improving and becoming faster and faster, Vettel however seems to tumble down the ladder race after race constantly being beaten by his much younger teammate.
I think that Leclerc already landed a big first punch in qualifying with Vettel only in 4th, Leclerc didn't look like he was in a hurry in Q3 either while it was his turn to give Vettel a tow. When they finally cleared the mayhem Leclerc absolutely floored it while Vettel couldn't hang on, Leclerc started a new lap while Vettel failed to make it to the line. 1-0 for Leclerc while Vettel was on the back foot after not having a tow which gave him only 4th. There were some rumours from the media that Vettel and Binotto were upset with Leclerc after doing that but it all played out behind closed doors. Leclerc then needed to hold of Mercedes who seemed to have the overall faster package on Raceday but just failed to get past with the superior straight line speed of Ferrari. Vettel spun again which shifted even more attention to Leclerc to shine, he drove an absolute masterclass to win the Italian Grand Prix infront of an adoring Italian crowd. Leclerc won the race for Ferrari who will be so delighted after winning which means so much to them while probably knowing that Vettel wouldn't withstand that pressure from Lewis. Leclerc will continue to build momentum with him now as the number 1 driver after having to move over for Vettel earlier in the season. Did Leclerc create his own luck to take over as a number 1 driver by ignoring teamorders in the first place? Share your thoughts in the comments down below!
