OMC Meditation Class 🌿🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌿
On Wednesday, August 21, 2019, Oregon Meditation Center(OMC) held a weekly English meditation class in which there were five participants.

After stretching exercise, everyone watched the video about How to Deal with Anxiety and Depression and then read Luang Por Dhammajayo Teachings about Mastered Mind.

Then the teacher monk, Venerable Harit  Chotiratano, gave some tips for meditation that is Visualization, Repeating Mantra, and Keeping Mind at the Center of Body. Then he guided everyone a peaceful meditation for 40 minutes. The activity ended with the Q&A for giving participants more tips to overcome the obstacles of stilling the mind. Everyone had joyful experiences.

For the next three days later, On Saturday, August 24, 2019, Oregon Meditation Center held a weekly English meditation class again in which there were thirteen participants.

After doing chair yoga, everyone watched the video about Five False Beliefs about Meditation.

Then the teacher monk, Venerable Somnuek Nuntasitto (Victor), guided everyone does peaceful meditation for 30 minutes. Then, the participants shared meditation experiences. They felt so calm and relaxed.

Reflections on the nature of family karmas and limited beliefs.

Family relationships and dynamics are some of the most challenging we may encounter in our lifetime.

The very nature of such close relationships triggers deep fears of emotional abandonment rooted in early childhood and our vulnerable state as children.

Whether you were raised by a fearful parent, an unconscious one, a narcissistic father or mother, a judgmental or critical parent, one who had dominating or violent tendencies, or a parent who felt victimized and did not manage their emotions with healthy boundaries, the influence of your upbringing would continue to define, or at least, influence the way you experience yourself, the world, and others.

In addition to becoming aware of the beliefs, fears, expectations, and judgments you’ve inherited from your parents and internalized as a way to be accepted and safe within the family model you were conditioned in, and of course, clearing all of the detrimental influences they have had in your life up to this point, it can be extremely useful to go through a thorough process of forgiveness. ‘Forgive then for they do not know’
applies to all hurt and pain we may have felt as a result of the conscious or unconscious karmic tendencies of others, including our parents.

There is a wonderful process called the Forgive and Forget process, which uses a combination of breath work, marma points, and repeating a statement of intention to forgive.

This process is tailored to bring up unresolved emotions in our subconscious mind and to clear, heal, and integrate them so that we no longer feel their influence.

When we forgive our parents and others, we free ourselves from the heaviness of the emotions of anger, resentment, disappointment, and sadness.  In this way, we make room for self-reflection and seeing ways in which we might be behaving in the same way as a parent we’ve rejected for a certain behavior. Ultimately, this gives us the opportunity to resolve the negative influence and tendencies internalized within ourselves through parental conditioning and to make room for something new that is our own.

If you feel like life is moving too fast and you’re playing catch up, then it’s time for you to take a step back and re-evaluate how you’re living your life.

Learning to practice mindfulness is one of the most dramatically effective things you can do to open up opportunities and enjoy less stress, depression and anxiety in daily life.

Mindfulness practices can help us to increase our ability to regulate emotions, decrease stress, anxiety and depression. It can also help us to focus our attention, as well as to observe our thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Here are three different aspects that operate together to bring about a state of mindful awareness:
▪️Intention – Your intention is what you hope to get from practicing mindfulness. You may want stress reduction, greater emotional balance or to discover your true nature. The strength of your intention helps to motivate you to practice mindfulness on a daily basis, and shapes the quality of your mindful awareness.
▪️Attention – Mindfulness is about paying attention to your inner or outer experience. Your mindful attention is mainly developed through various different types of meditation – either formal, traditional, or informal – when talking, cleaning or driving, for example.
▪️Attitude – Mindfulness involves paying attention to certain attitudes, such as curiosity, acceptance and kindness.

The way we see ourselves within the space of our own mind, whether consciously or subconsciously, is what gets projected onto others.

Often times, we will judge others or find them lacking, or we will criticize or emotionally abandon them for their life choices and behaviors without understanding that this is only a reflection of an internal process of self-judgment.

This process is conditioned into us by our parents, who themselves were conditioned by theirs, etc.

If we judge ourselves for being judgmental or critical of others, we only continue the cycle of judgment without truly understanding what’s driving the entire process and we stay stuck both in self-judgment and judgment of others.

When we turn our attention inward instead, we gain the opportunity to actually trace our judgments of self and others to the root, ie our inherited beliefs, fears, and expectations, which ultimately drive all judgments. 
In this way, we can permanently transcend our process of judgment and live a life of inner peace, true acceptance of self and others, free will, self-sovereignty, unconditional love, true satisfaction, and deep joy.

Today, spend some time reflecting on how you see others, and ways in which you may see yourself in the same way and, most importantly, why.

Tomorrow, I’ll share with you a wonderful forgiveness process taught to us by Dr Pankaj Naram and Dr Smita Naram during Panchakarma aimed at clearing all judgment at the root.

Karma does mean that we have to suffer to learn something.  It’s not about payback, it’s about learning and evolving so that we don’t have to repeat the same detrimental behaviors or relationship dynamics over and over again.

Sometimes, karma does bring suffering as when we keep repeating the same behavior or having the same thought or emotion without consciously understanding their implications.

This can be transcended. 
Panchakarma is a process that allows you to dive into those subconscious patterns and karmas, to break the cycle of your addictions to food, thought, habits, emotions, and modes of operating in relationships.

It’s a time to go inward, to clear the layers between you and your inner truth.

In the past 3 weeks, I have felt my mind slow down and my emotions become more and more balanced as a result of the combination of a balanced food regimen, physical treatments, the use of marmaas and mantras, physical movement and breathwork, and self-exploration during meditation.

I highly recommend this process as a way to clear toxins, thoughts, and trauma (unresolved emotions), which according to Epigenetic expert, Dr. Bruce Lipton, down-regulate our genes and cause 99% of all diseases and physical conditions so that you can enjoy a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.

Pure Land Japanese Gardens and Meditation Centre is located in the village of North Clifton, near Newark in Nottinghamshire. It is a mere 6.4 miles from where I live so we've visited several times. I particularly love the serenity of the place, and the colourful Japanese trees and plants, ponds with Koi carp, winding paths, bridges, pagodas, stone lanterns and crystal garden are a delight. An extra feature in August and September each year is the 'Lantern Lit Evening Garden' which can be enjoyed from Friday to Sunday.

The Centre was created by a lovely man called Maitreya, who is often around the gardens. His story of leaving Japan and eventually settling in England and creating 'Pure Land' from a 2-acre field is fascinating (and too long to relay here).

Refreshments are available in a small Japanese Tea House, which is also where payment is made on entry.

From the bottom of the mountain, looking out to the highest peak, the disciple asks the Master, ‘Can I climb this mountain?’ The Master promptly responds, ‘Yes, you can.’ After a moment of silence, the Master calmly adds, ‘And your karma will determine whether you get to the top or not.’ In our lives, there are many things we may want to experience and achieve, and sometimes we may feel that it’s taking too long or that we just can’t.

There are many hidden reasons - our karmas - why we may or may not achieve something at one time or another, often unknown or subconscious to us.

That said, as you peel the layers of your own mind and gain access to your unconscious/ subconscious mind, it’s possible to become aware of such patterns of thoughts, beliefs, judgments, or fears - I.e. your karmas - that are creating limitations on whether you achieve what you want or not.

The process of Panchakarma is designed to take you into the layers of your subconscious mind and to bring such patterns and karmas to the surface where they can be understood, worked through, processed, and ultimately transcended.

Today, think about something that’s really meaningful to you that you want to achieve in your life, and while in a meditative, contemplative state, ask yourself what are the beliefs, fears, behaviors, or judgments that don’t support the achievement of your intentions or goals in this moment in time.  Becoming aware of those incongruences in your system is the first step to transcending them and clearing the way for you to achieve what you want most in your life.

This year #CHATEAUDELASALLE has been quite a family affair. We’ve collaborated with many incredible people but behind the scenes this year it’s been a family run business with sister duo @jessica_delachesnais @balanceforchange and mother #EBBABOYESEN running the show. It’s been quite a bonding experience, fiery at times too but in the end juggling logistics, cleaning and organizational affairs with your family teaches you a great deal; mostly that when you think you’ve got your s*#% sorted...go run a business with your family 🙈 nothing quite like it to remind you that no matter how much #YOGA or #MEDITATION you do you can still easily get triggered. To conclude and if I could share some of what we’ve learnt here, work to your strength, not your weaknesses, work together not against each other, no matter how different we all are. Embrace your differences, we all have different skill sets and together, using those difference skill sets, we can create magic ✨

Day 18 of Panchakarma @Ayushaktiayurved in Mumbai.

One of the most challenging part of Panchakarma, and also one of the most beneficial and rewarding one, is the clearing of our addiction to food.

Whether that addiction involves emotional eating or food restriction - which is in itself an addictive process - we learn a lot about ourselves and our relationship to food when the food we consume is entirely focused on restoring balance in the body, mind, and emotions.

We discover how deep our addiction to food runs and how it’s associated to our addiction to pleasure or pain, which are truly two sides of the same coin, pleasure being the suppression of pain without actually actively resolving the underlying pain.

For Panchakarma, the food consumed is selected and prepared with pure intention and love.  The intention being to balance and heal the body, mind, and emotions through a delicate selection and preparation of the purest, freshest, most life-giving, nutritious, and balanced foods.

Consuming these foods allows us to surrender back to our own body’s Intelligence and to know what to eat and when to eat rather than apply some rule, restriction, diet, or use our food as a way to suppress our emotions and pain.

This is a truly intelligent and wonderful way of nurturing our body back to health.

Today, when you consume food, you can ask your body how it feels about the food you’re choosing and observe how you feel before, during, and after consuming your food.  This can help you over time to learn your way back to listen to your body’s innate intelligence to make the best choices for your health, happiness, and wellbeing.

OMC Meditation Class 🌿🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌿
On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, Oregon Meditation Center(OMC) held a weekly English meditation class in which there were thirteen participants.

After stretching exercise, everyone watched the video about How to Change from Negative to Positive Mindset.

Then the teacher monk, Venerable Victor, guided everyone a peaceful meditation for 40 minutes. The activity ended with the Q&A for giving participants more tips to overcome the obstacles of stilling the mind. Everyone had joyful experiences.

For the next three days later, On Saturday, August 17, 2019, Oregon Meditation Center held a weekly English meditation class again in which there were twelve participants.

After doing chair yoga, everyone watched the video about How to Deal with Anger and Disturbance in Life.

Then the teacher monk, Venerable Victor, guided everyone does peaceful meditation for 40 minutes. Then, the participants shared meditation experiences. They felt so calm and relaxed.

The clarity of your intentions is a key factor in your ability to achieve true happiness and fulfillment.

The more clear we are about our intentions and the more connected we are to the emotions associated with them, the easier and faster the path to achieving them.

According to Dr Pankaj Naram, and many studies on happiness and personal satisfaction, only about 1% of people in the world know what they want, have achieved it, and feel a deep sense of happiness and fulfillment from it.

You can be part of that 1%. The 1% of people who have thought deeply about what is truly meaningful to them and brings about the most happiness and fulfillment in their lives. 
When we step outside of our conditioning and societal programs, we gain the opportunity to ‘know ourselves’ and by doing so to focus our attention and energy of what is ‘right’ for us.
