One thing I got taught when learning to drive, always keep your eyes open.
Technically our eyes were open, just covered by a blacked out mask. That’s right, as a team we had to take it in turns to drive our land rover blindfolded around and assault course. The objective was to carry out this task safety (basically not flattening anyone) thinking and guiding our team mates in and around obstacles stimulating challenges we may face during the expedition.
Each of us had been allocated a number at the start of the weekend, hence the fashionable hi vis. As lucky number 3 I had the privilege of driving first. It has to be said it’s a very odd sensation driving blindfolded and not something I’d recommend however, with a vehicle Marshall directing from outside the vehicle and a co driver converting the visual signals into audio, it’s safe to say I made it around an obstacle or two and managed to not flatten anyone! Total success. #conservationwithoutborders#expeditionselection#expeditiontraining#landrover#adventures @conservation_without_borders #photography#media#mediateam#teamwork#vehiclemarshall#teambuilding
