One of the biggest reasons I wasn't as lean as I should have been last year, was severely dropping the ball with cardio. 💯

For the first half of my prep, I didn't do any cardio at all.
Instead, I did split sessions daily; weights morning and night. 
My thought process was, that if you could only do one form of exercise out of resistance training and aerobic exercise, resistance training is superior even in terms of fat loss.
But, that does not mean MORE resistance training is better than just adding some cardio on top, at least for me. 🤷‍♂️

As soon as I brought in cardio (8 weeks out, 30min 5× a week), I saw rapid fat loss.
Each week, I increased duration by 5 minutes, and once hitting 45min, I increased frequency to 7× per week, and ended the prep doing 60min fasted cardio every morning. .

This year, I started at 30min 3× per week. 
5min increases weekly, then at 45min, will increase to 4 days, 5 days 2 weeks later, 6 days 2 weeks later, then 7. And once again, will increase to 60min by the end... I doubt that entire paragraph makes sense but oh well. 😂

I generally do incline treadmill, increasing the incline throughout, then end with 10min on the stepper, but I will stop using the stepper soon as once I'm quite lean as my knees don't love it with less fat support. 🏃‍♂️

After cardio, I do abs and calves every second day, and am currently doing small muscle groups on the mornings without cardio.

Wanting to start personal training but don’t want to do it alone?

This is why I have small group personal training.

I’ve been running small group PT @infit247 for those who need personal training but can’t currently afford it or want to train with friend or want me to buddy them up with someone.

With small group training you receive all the benefits of a one-on-on session at a lower fee.
⠀
You'll be provided with an individualised program with all weights, sets, and reps recorded for each person to ensure you're progressing each week. Groups are capped at 3 people per session so I can provide one-on-one attention.

The small group personal training schedule is made up of varying styles of training depending on what you're looking for. ⠀
The Options are:

• BEGINNER FULL BODY - Full body weights program placed in a high intensity circuit style training session. 1 or 2 exercises per muscle group. Optimum for someone looking for an introduction to weights.
⠀
• INTERMEDIATE 2 DAY SPLIT - 2 day split which separates a full body workout over 2 training days. 2 or 3 exercises per muscle group. Perfect for someone looking for an intermediate to advanced program. Program 1: Back, biceps, legs and abs. Program 2: Chest, shoulders, triceps, legs. The programs will be switched over each week to allow someone to attend 1 session a week and get a full body weights program over the fortnight.

• ADVANCED 3 DAY SPLIT - 3 day split which separates a full body workout over 3 training days. 3 - 5 exercises per muscle group. Advanced program for people looking for muscle gain. You can attend 1 or 2 of the sessions and perform the others on your own. This is for someone needing help with technique and wants a new program every 4-6 weeks. 2 muscle groups worked on each day and will be switched around every week to be advised at the beginning of the week. Program 1: Chest, Triceps, Abs. Program 2: Back Biceps. Program 3: Shoulders, Legs.

Okay time to be honest (I’m not naturally blonde) 😂 .

I started this Instagram as a way to hold myself accountable and share my journey. But tbh I’ve kinda hit a hurdle, I’m not an experienced trainer nor a fitness model and I really don’t want my page to imitate that because that’s just not me. I love following pages like that because they motivate me and I can get ideas for workouts, but I’m no where near as experienced as they are to share my advice with you guys or tell anybody what works. I want my page to be more of a middle ground, just me working on myself sharing my journey and listening to others on their journey.

For the last couple of days I’ve been trying to find the best way to share my workouts/meals and successes in a way that is true to who I am and makes me genuinely excited to share with anybody who comes across my page. Should I upload videos of my workouts? Pictures? Stats? IDK
.

Since I haven’t been able to pinpoint how to do that exactly. I’m going to update you guys on some of my successes outside of the gym (well, it’s really just a workout corner in my room 😆)

Here’s a picture of my recent trip to California, feeling happier, rocking a new hairstyle and look! Tbh I haven’t bought clothes that I’ve liked or made me feel comfortable in a long time, I don’t know if it’s the blonde or I’m really just feeling better about myself, or getting my AA but whatever it may be I’m gonna ride this positive wave for as long as I can 😃

I use to wear big flowy dresses to hide everything..I wore black or dark clothes so it wasnt noticeable.. now I'm I wearing sleeveless shirt, dress...every color of clothes..because now I'm confident.. sometimes I do feel like I'm big from my broad shoulder..but its whatever 🙄🙄 ..

Anyway I don't know where I was going with my story time...believe in yourself..you dont like the way you look or feel ..maybe it's time for a change.. change is good. Change will be a challenge.  Accept the challenge. 💪
