Reposted from @lucholarry_pro (@get_regrann) - Day 2:
Finally I was able to take out the flywheel, and check the balancer chain tensioner.
It was absolutely OK, and everything on that side of the engine was perfect, even nothing of metal shaves.
I decided to check the cylinder head, and I only found one valve out of specifications. Unfortunately I hadn’t the shime with the correct size to fix that, but anyway I changed it for another that I had, so is not on the correct measurement but at least now are better than before.
After that I reasamble all the bike, at the same time checked the torque ot almost all the motorcycle’s bolts, many of them were loose.
Again the same smelly oil and the coolant. I fire up the engine... and works smood, none unusal noises, or anything weird, exept for one thing, the engine feels like if the oil had more than 6.000 miles.
So, for me stil be a mistery, the knoking noise, the metal shaves and the burned smell of the oil, because it have only 1.500 miles... So, tomorrow I’ll go to buy brand new oil, I’ll put it in the engine, and then I’ll drive in the city to test it. If everything still ok, on Tuesday I restart my way to Belgrade.
A true enigma all this situation. was like the olds PCs, sometime they started to fail, and the solution was take it apart, and reassemble again... Anyway I’m so grateful because it wasn’t the end of my partner, and more, for all the people who they was pending of my situation, and offering help that I needed to keep my way, or the people that send me messages, and call just to know how I was and give me good vibes.
And specially to Faustas: He drove from Vilnius to Kalvarija in a transporter to pickup me and the bike, to his house, he let me use his garage, his tools and let me work on my bike in there, and even more, he and his family they opened their door home to let me stay on, all the time as be necessary. This is why I call to those kind of people, my “Road’s angels”

Went on a ride to Ojai only to find out the #OjaiValleyTrail is closed till January!!! Our 50+ mile ride turned into a 30 mile ride with food & beer haha. Gotta keep it positive and enjoy the ride. Always fun riding bikes with the homies!!!
This Colnago Super is quite a special one. Its owner, @ferraristeve73 , has owned this bike from a very young age, and has put over 100,000 miles on it. Age 13-14, Steve worked two summers at a dollar an hour to afford the Campagnolo C Record group. A gorgeous bike with i'm sure countless stories that will always add character. 📷: @coreymaxwell99
