THE REAL ✌🏼 Most of you know, I’ve struggled with my weight going up and down since I’ve had kids -duh, lol.
But I’m also an emotional eater... I get stressed, I eat.
I get sad, I eat.
I worry, I eat.
You get the idea.
The last couple years with my previous company, I did use the products, at first I was consistent, lost some weight, then STOPPED. Gained the weight back and then the cycle started all over again.
It was a yo-yo effect. 🤦🏻♀️ I’m not saying the products didn’t work, because I had a bunch of clients they DID work for. They just didn’t work for ME, the way I needed.
I watched what I ate, I exercised- not as much as I should have- but I did try to stay active, I drank my water.... I took my supplements, I drank my “coffee”, I did the things.
But even being consistent, I was not getting the results I was looking for.
Almost 2 weeks ago, I started this next journey in my life.
LET👏🏼ME👏🏼TELL👏🏼YOU👏🏼 I’m down 7lbs!
My energy is through the roof!
I’m NOT hungry all day!
I’m NOT tired in the middle of the day!
I’m HAPPY all day.
I’m NOT stressed.
My sleep is better.
My anxiety is low, I’m weening off my anxiety meds!
Literally I’m a brand new person y’all! I can’t even begin to tell you how damn GOOD I’m feeling.
I FINALLY found something that has helped me with this struggle.
GIVE👏🏼ME👏🏼THREE👏🏼STEPS👏🏼 If YOU have been struggling, reach out to me. Know that I understand what your going through.
There are more people than you even realize that are going through the same things.
Have you heard of the dirty dozen? It's a list of the 12 foods highest in pesticides and chemicals. ⠀
It doesnt mean that you need to completely avoid these foods, but you should do your best to stick to organic. And if organic is just not a possibility, then make sure to wash these foods well (with a natural fruit/veggie spray or a vinegar soak/spray). ⠀
Conversely, there is the "clean fifteen", a list of the foods lowest in pesticides and what you generally dont need to buy organic. ⠀
Pesticides are endocrine and hormone-disrupting, carcinogenic, toxic little chemicals that you want to minimize your exposure to. Considering the amount of chemicals we are exposed to on a daily basis that we can NOT control, empower yourself to limit your exposure for the things that are within your control (foods are big, but also personal care products, cleaning supplies, etc.).

Vegetarians and vegans lack protein ❌
Name one food that is higher in protein per calorie than beef 🥩... if you said broccoli 🥦 you would be correct! •
A very common and tiresome misconception is we as vegetarians or vegans don’t get enough protein in our diet. This is partly due to the belief that beef provides more protein than its so called, accessory items, like rice, beans, lentils, and of course veggies 🌽 🌶 which is simply not true! •
In fact, I dare you 😈 to research vegan 🌱 athletes and see what pops up. LiI guarantee you will be astounded 😮 with what you find. These athletes have shorter rest periods between max effort movements, have increased VO2 maxes due to healthy gut bacteria, and have LOTS of fuel for their muscles to use and work with 💪🏻👊🏻
The human body doesn’t need as much protein as we may believe. Let me share something with you...when you eat more protein than what your body needs at that time, what do you suppose the excess turns into in the body? Not butterflies 🦋 •
It turns into fat my good friends, and that is because your body likes fat! It wants to hold onto fat with every intention to not let it go. In fact, our bodies can usually handle approximately 28 or so grams in one sitting of protein. The extra you eat will very likely turn into subcutaneous fat and even visceral fat 😳 UNLESS 🤫🤫 your body has a lack of carbohydrates and you are in need of glucose for a workout, your body will then take the other grams of protein, convert it through a process called gluconeogenesis, which takes protein (amino acids) and converts those into very useable energy, glucose. 🔥🔥
So, to avoid the added saturated fats from unhealthy meats, switch to a more plant-based diet as this will surely aid in not only recovery from workouts, but an energy spike you haven’t experienced in a long time! 🤘🤙
Last night’s dinner was so delicious, I’m sharing even though everything was not measured out.
On 1 sheet pan, I placed sweet potato cubed small. I coated it with olive oil, smoked paprika, some sea salt and 1 clove of garlic. I put in the oven at 350° for about 20 minutes before adding my next sheet pan to the oven...
Next sheet pan - 3 or 4 slices sausages (i used @the_tofurky_company brand), baby carrots cut in half, cauliflower cut into small florets, 1 can of white beans drained (or chickpeas or lentils). Coat it all with the same as above - olive oil, smoked paprika, sea salt and 1 clove garlic.
Continue roasting for another 20 minutes or so.
To serve - my kids ate as is.
The adults ate it over a bed of quinoa, topped with freshly grated Parmesan (omit if vegan), tahini, zaatar and lots of fresh basil and parsley. .
Thanks to my good friend (you know who you are) for the inspiration. .. #kosher#koshereats#mtlfood#montrealfood#quickandeasymeals#vegan#vegetarian#glutenfree#glutenfreerecipes#glutenfreevegan#nomnom#cleaneating#eatclean#tahini#zaatar#ilovefood#koshercooking#kosherrecipes#eeeats#recipeshare

Improving mental health in Australia is good for business
One publication estimated that for every dollar an employer puts into improving the mental health of their employees, they can expect a return of $2.30. That’s a 230% return on investment, which is huge
Improving the mental health of employees can mean less sick days, more engagement, and higher productivity for businesses. Some examples of programs to boost mental health in the workplace include mental health first aid training, worksite physical activity programs, resilience training, and Cognitive-Based Therapy-return-to-work programs

Will never forget his first birthday we spent together. I knew I had “THE ONE.” Relationships aren’t easy, but so worth it and this guy has taught me so much.
He’s the true essence of a man, the provider, protector, and warrior, but gentle when it comes to his girl. That’s my Stafford. Happy birthday baby! Grateful for you! 📷 by the awesome @charlotte_fristoe_photography

Most people don’t go out of their way to eat veggies, but they should be one of the staples of our daily diet! ⠀
I was not a big fan of veggies. I might eat them sometimes, but my dinner used be meat, mashed potatoes and a roll or bread. 😳 None of the good stuff and plenty of unneeded carbs! ❌ ⠀
When I decided to make a change, I looked into various nutrition plans. That’s when I found one that was easy to follow and gave me clear guidance on how to fuel my body properly. Lots of the good stuff 🥦🥬🥒🌶 and limited quantities of the other. 🥟🍕⠀
Last night, I pulled out my veggies and threw this together. I’ll try to get it up on my website soon for the specifics, but it has onion, garlic, yellow and red pepper, squash and zucchini. I use Tamari Lite instead of standard soy sauce (less sodium and gluten free) and instead of rice, I use riced cauliflower. Then I topped it off with diced chicken breast for protein. It was easy and delicious! 😋⠀
How do you get your veggies in per day? I would love some other ideas! 🙌🏻
