Back to where it all began...
Exactly one year ago, we had the itch to go camping so we headed north to Deceptions Pass. As we were roughing it in our tent, two VW vans caught our eye and the conversation about getting one ourselves became more serious. We started talking about what we needed to do to make this a reality. Well as fate would have it, a couple weeks later my car was totaled, thus speeding up our van buying process (can’t say I was too mad about it😏).
As we were making a store run, we saw this Westy pulling into the campsite, naturally threw up the peace sign and carried on. Turns out, they were camping right next to us! One of the greatest things about owning a van is the awesome community you become apart of. We all come from different walks of life, are at different stages in our lives, but one thing we have always have in common is our deep love and gratitude for these old vans💙
Thunderstorms and dark skies - these are the things i timelapsed during my visit Sutherland. The skies were not perfect for any astrophotography other than wide field or timelapse - so I made the most of the conditions. Enjoy and LOOK UP at the night sky- you are missing quite a show if you aren’t!
Forest bathing is the practice of simply being in nature and taking in the surroundings through our senses. Though we understand this intuitively, it’s easy to forget how rejuvenating time in nature truly is. I think now more than ever, with the constant distractions and demands of our daily lives, it’s important to get outside regularly, and just be.
