I woke up today not feeling the gym, not feeling work, I didnt feel like doing anything but resting 😖😫😖😫 I was very close to just saying fuck it and hiding under a rock all day but then I realized life doesnt work that way 😤😤😤 So I went to work, put on my happy face and forced myself to push through a workout this morning 💯✔💯✔ Now I'm home relaxing and I'm glad I worked out. I'm completely exhausted but wanted to share this story with you all. I hear all the time it must be nice to be in shape, it must be nice to eat healthy.....🤔🤔🤔🤔 yeah it's nice but it's called HARD ASS WORK AND DEDICATION!!!! You think I dont want a fast food burger every once in a while, you think their aren't days (like today) where I dont want to workout. It's not easy, I wasnt born this way and it's been years and years of sacrifices made with alot to be gained or LOST 💥💣💥💣 Today was one of those days but I sucked it up and pushed through and I'm glad I did. You know what's easy??? Giving in, saying fuck it, taking the day off or grabbing a greasy burger instead of doing meal prep 👏👏👏 Doing what we do is NOT EASY (we just make it look that). One of my favorite quotes is, "Surround yourself with like minded individuals." I believe in this quote so much. So I spray painted the EMC symbol in my garage.
Lately, I've been in a rough spot, mentally. I've been lazy, depressed, angry, prideful, bitter to the people I care about.
But I realize the problem is myself. My attitude.
I've lost sight of my dreams and goals and I've fallen off my own path. I realized, I gotta find my way back. And that's where this symbol comes in. For such a long time now, the EMC Monkeys have been my guiding light. Everytime I see them do or post something, I'm reminded of what I loved. So I figured, I'll spray paint their symbol in my garage. So now, everytime I get into my garage, which is every day, I'll see this and I'll be reminded that I need to get myself back on track. It'll make it just a little easier for me to change my attitude about my day. I'll get to see something I enjoy every day and put a smile on my face. It'll help, even if just a little bit, to inspire me to change my lifestyle.
So thank you EMC. For always being my inspiration and motivation. I'm always glad to see you guys do your thing and see how far you've all come. Keep being badasses!

This is my good friend @devin_palmergjj last month he turned his passion into his life!
Devin and I worked together for almost a year and he had been working the same job for over 10 years! He had been involved with jiu jitsu for just about as long. Dreading Monday’s And knowing aerospace wasn’t his passion while making other people rich he decided to take what most people would call a risk. .
Devin left his job to start his own MMA gym and become his own boss. He followed his passion and pursued what made him happy! Why’s this matter to you? Because a lot of you are stuck in a dead end job wishing you had the guts to step out, to follow your dreams and passion. .
Many of us look at our 9-5 jobs as security and comfort never wanting to take a risk, but what’s the bigger risk? To have faith in yourself and at least try to do what makes you happy and if all else fails you can go back to that 9-5 or work a job that makes you unhappy, unsatisfied and someone else’s dreams come true from your hard labor? .
I encourage you to be like Devin, take a risk and follow your dreams before its to late and you realized you never tried, you never knew your full potential and you wake up realizing you wanted so much more but we’re to busy making someone else dreams come true. .
Something I hear quite frequently is people telling me they don’t want to lift weights as they don’t want to get huge muscles.
You need to remember that building muscle takes time, your genetics, nutrition, body fat and training takes a huge part in how your muscles grow and what they look like. No you are not going to get huge if you lift weights unless that is what you are wanting to achieve.
There are so many benefits from strength training some you might be aware of and some you may not. Develops strength, muscle mass, increases mobility, improves your cardiovascular health, helps with balance, posture and coordination, can reduce chronic pain, good for mental heath and you get stronger and fitter. If you don’t already you should try and incorporate some into your workouts.
Creating this instagram to document my fitness journey because I’m not happy with how I look and want to keep myself accountable without bothering my friends. My goal is to post one healthy thing I did for myself each day.

Know social media has some weight and power to It, so I figure this would be the best place to announce that I’m looking for a new agency and looking for someone to work with.
This past year was just about every up and down possible. Had some unfortunate breaks. But, I’m looking to get a head start to the new year, hopefully sign under someone new and get the process restarted for hopefully the best year of my career yet.

A year later i had gained all the weight back plus some. 😧
Why? What happened?
Simple answer: i didn’t lose the weight for myself. I did it for others. I was desperate for people in my life to praise, accept & notice me 😔I didn’t lose the 40 pounds in a healthy way. I did it by basically eating a banana a day 🙅🏼♀️
Wanna know something crazy? I’m happy i gained all that weight back! 😱I’m grateful because i needed to learn that tough lesson 🙌🏻 Today I’m losing weight (25 pounds down 😏), gaining muscle, changing my body & my LIFE for nobody but ME. 🥳🥳🥳

But on a more serious note: I’m gonna be real frank with y’all.. Life... Life has been knocking me down lately. I’d like to think I’m a mentally strong human being who can handle anything that gets hurled his way with ease, grace, and a dash of fabulousness, but the past few weeks/months have brought to light a laundry list of weaknesses, insecurities, flaws, and areas of my life where I’ve been falling short of the expectations I’ve set for myself. It’s been overwhelming. It’s been uncomfortable. It’s been painful. My patience and my sanity have been through the ringer, and there were many moments where I didn’t know how I was going to get through the day ahead of me without having a mental breakdown. BUT! As cliche as it may sound, my time spent in the gym has been a safe haven. A place for me to release all of the negative energy that’s been resting on my shoulders. I’m a perfectionist who also happens to be his own worst critic, but I’m learning to be gentler with the man I’m becoming. I’m learning to celebrate the small victories (because there are many if we actually tune in to them and pay attention). I’m learning that self-care is actually really hard work that involves breaking bad habits and developing new patterns so as to not repeat the same mistakes over and over again. I’ll leave you with this: I had a moment today where, after my glorious steam & sauna sesh, I just stared at myself in the mirror and audibly declared, “You’re the SHIT, you sexy ass muthafuckaaaaa!” 😂🤷🏻♂️ And let me tell you.. it felt so good, and it set my intentions moving forward into the rest of my day with a kick-ass mentality. Go on. Try it. I guarantee you you’ll feel like a goddess among mere mortals. Okay, now I’m blabbing. Go forth and GIT DEM GAINZZZZZ!!!!!
