Saturday Morning Move It:
Choose 5 moves and repeat them as a circuit for 3 - 8 rounds, as your interest and energy dictate. Don’t worry about being fancy or complicated in the exercises you choose. Do anything that sounds fun for you. Here’s my workout for today:
1) Single Leg Hip Bridge Hold x hold for as long as it takes for my booty to burn which is 15 - 30 seconds each side
2) Side Plank Star x 5 full breaths each side
3) Kettlebell Snatch x 5 each arm
4) Kettlebell Clean to Squat x 5
5) Dance Party for the length of one song
After years of suffering from stress migraines, creative repression, depression, self-doubt and disconnection from myself and others, I knew I had to make a big life change.

JourneyDance is a conscious, guided practice that gets you out of the mind and into the body through a combination of structured and freestyle movements, visualization, affirmation, ritual, connection and music. It’s fun, it’s wild, it’s powerful!
I’m so excited and honored to begin leading classes in Mexico, Sedona and beyond. I will travel far and wide to share this beautiful work. Let’s dance, feel and heal together! ❤️✨
We held a deep breathwork journey for 15 people last night! 💛
In the end of it, there was so much love in the room. It feels like a big love bubble where there is no seperation. We’re all connected and we remember who we truly are.
I smile from one ear to another when I see how much these breathwork journeys grew and evolved in the last 2 years. I put all my heart and Soul into them and give everything I got every time as if its the first and last one I’m doing.
Thank you for those of you who joined. I feel grateful for your heart and wisdom. I learn so much from you every time. I love you all very much ❤️

I was SO impressed by my experience at @theundergrounddancecentre today -- from the welcoming folks at the front desk to the incredibly talented & thoughtful instructors, every minute of my first visit was 💯. Each instructor presented their material with expertise, attentiveness, and clarity. Though all 4 teaching styles were very different, the common thread was the clear communication & teaching ability. It's a long trek from Brantford but after today I'm hoping to make regular visits to UDC a part of my dance training. 😍
Vids are from K-Pop class (taught by @chi_xtie) & Beyonce class (choreo by @chris.tsiantoulas), neither choreo of which I did particular justice to in the videos, but I was having fun in both so what the heck, I'm posting as a memory for myself of the utter joy & contentment I felt while moving like this today. 💖

I danced 9am to 6pm daily for the last 6 days.
On last day, during the rhythm "stillness", I danced myself to tears, for the first time in my life.
I had to stop, left the class and dance floor, sobbed for a while, looking at the river flowing under my feet.
Hard to describe what happened... I just felt so touched. So fresh. So vulnerable. So beautiful. So sad. So grateful at the same time... Shedding old skin like a snake, literally.
My sunburnt skin from the seaside trips has been peeling off.
My sweaty prayers have been flowing out of my pores, stripping all the unnecessary things that I've been carrying on for years.
I have danced like I have never danced before, and discovered the Ling I have never seen before, but feel so familiar.
Now I feel so light, so much joy and space in me.
I came back to the group and saw the light in the eyes of people, who, after the class, told me that my dance inspired and touched them so much.
The greatest lesson I get from this training is:
Every single move you make in life can be a dance.
Whether it's in your mind, heart, body...
It's a state of BEING, not doing.
The way you move, drink, walk and speak can be an inspiring dance, if you LET it.
We can touch each other deeply simply by existing.

Taco night with toddlers means a full sweep and mop of the entire dining area afterward. With all the chairs and table pushed aside, I couldn't resist turning on some beats (Pional-Tempest] and having an impromptu improv sesh.
Challenged myself to turn off the inner critic and move from the certainty that "every movement choice I make is [of course] an excellent one." Not striving for ingenuity or interest, just enjoying being in my body and moving.
On a side note, this 1982 Brewers World Series shirt is a hand-me-down from my Mama and one of my most prized possessions. It will go with me to my grave. :-) #danceeverydamnday#moveeverydamnday#tacosandtoddlers#MilwaukeeBrewers#Pional
#FlashbackFriday to my first comp as a ⚡Sparky⚡😍 I found Melbourne Dance Hub in 2013 and although I started dancing Mambo a few years later, to finally be a member of Team Spark was an incredible achievement for me🙈 this video makes me feel so proud Haha I can honestly say this was the best I ever felt walking off the comp floor 🙆🏻♀️ Thank you thank you thank you for everything you do for us @bmovementpilates and @djnathan_t!! ❤❤❤ P.S I still love this song Haha
