The 2020 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXII Olympiad(Japanese: 第三十二回オリンピック競技大会Hepburn: Dai Sanjūni-kai Orinpikku Kyōgi Taikai) and commonly known as Tokyo 2020, is an upcoming international multi-sport event that is scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020 in Tokyo, Japan.
Tokyo was selected as the host city during the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires on 7 September 2013. These Games will mark the return of the Summer Olympics to Tokyo for the first time since 1964, the first city in Asia to host the Olympics twice, and the fourth Olympics overall to be held in Japan, following the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo and the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano. They will be the second of three consecutive Olympic Games to be held in East Asia, following the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and preceding the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.
These Games will see the introduction of additional disciplines within several of the Summer Olympics sports, including 3x3 basketball, freestyle BMX and Madison cycling, as well as further mixed events. Under new IOC policies that allow sports to be added to the Games' programme to augment the permanent "core" Olympic events, these Games will see karate, sport climbing, surfingand skateboarding make their Olympic debuts, and the return of baseball and softball(which were removed from the summer program after 2008). . . . . . . . . . . . .

Today, spread on a 2.5-acre plot lies a five-layered model economically-viable and sustainable farm, the fruit of Akash’s labour.
During his research about progressive agriculture techniques, Akash came across two-layer farming. This was a method where two kinds of crops would be grown in the same unit of land at different layers.
Finding success in this method, he started adding layers to his farm year on year. Today, in a small plot of 2.5 acres, his farm grows crops in five layers!
The bamboo structure also serves as a support for another layer of crops which include climbers. The tallest layer includes papayas that are planted at a distance of 12 x 18 feet that tower over the shed.

This is my first time bouldering at Squamish, my first V2!
I mentioned before that I came to climbing later in life, 49 to be exact! I started because I was deep in a midlife crisis. I was sad, lonely and had completely disappeared as a person, in short, I was miserable.
Exercise had always been important for my mood and mental health, but my normal routine was no longer helping.
I knew I had to do something new, completely out of my comfort zone. I was never afraid of heights, but knew that climbing would take me outdoors, where I have always felt rejuvenated and happy.
Bouldering is a form of climbing that is DEFINITELY out of my comfort zone!! Especially outdoors where the holds are smaller and the falls unpredictable 😬. This past summer, with my kids cheering me on, I sent this problem 😊
The mantle was U-G-L-Y 😂 but it happened!! I am still proud of this 51 year old body for what it accomplished so far!
Ladies, don’t tell me your too old, too tired or too broken. You can do whatever you set your mind too, you can overcome💕

Had a great time climbing in the glen last Sunday, Monday. Me and my buddy didn't have our own crash pads to use, so our goal was to find some people willing to let us climb with them. Likely we found some nice people.
Even Sagarmatha aka Everest experiences traffic.
@everestofficials -The world’s highest mountain witnessed a traffic jam near the balcony area after more than 200 climbers attempted to reach the summit point of Mt Everest this morning.
According to Gyanendra Shrestha, a liaison officer at the Everest base camp, many climbers who reach above Camp IV early this morning complained of waiting more than two hours in queues at bottlenecks on their way to the summit point. “Over 200 climbers including high-altitude climbing guides headed from the South Col to the summit point early this morning after they found a second weather window to attempt to stand atop the roof of the world,” Shrestha told THT from the base camp.
Many climbers shared that they had to wait for over two hours to cross the south summit, Shrestha quoted climbers as saying. “There’s a long queue of climbers above Camp IV,” he said, adding that over 200 have already made it to the summit point till this afternoon. “Everyone seems in a hurry to reach the summit point when the weather is clear. The second summit window may last for the next two days,” he said. The climbers have now been descending to Camp IV after the summit, Shrestha added.
Earlier, the first two-day weather window was closed on April 16 after over 150 world climbers made it to the summit of Mt Everest. A team of rope-fixing Sherpa climbers had opened a climbing route to the top becoming the first team to stand atop the roof of the world on April 14.
According to the Department of Tourism, the government issued a record number of climbing permits to the mountaineers representing 44 teams this spring season – 381, the most since 1953 after the world’s highest peak was first scaled by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Along with the expedition members, more than 500 Sherpa climbers have also been accompanying the teams on Mt Everest this year.
