A few photos taken of Bridal Veil Falls at the Grose Valley of the Blue Mountains National Park, very close to where I live. In the furthest away shot ( no 1) a lookout can be seen to the right hand side. I changed to my 600mm lens and in the closeup (no 3) my granddaughter Erin can be seen leaning on the rails. I might be able to accompany Erin when my knee is fixed! This would be in the winter here and not in the summer. It was around 38c deg this day. The Fall was beautiful due to heavy storms and lots of rain. Oh, for anyone who does not know, the blue haze is the oil evaporating from the eucalyptus trees on a hot day and mixing with moisture and maybe dust in the air. It is why many years ago the Blue Mountains got the name. If you zoom in on the cliff face with the broken peak (no 4) you will see people at another lookout.
A wave a day keeps the doctor away⠀
Well that’s what they say anyway. I know the ocean soothes my soul 💁🏽♀️⠀
In this quickly evolving world of ours, it’s so easy to get muddled up in the busy lane. I’ve been so busy lately I’ve been making that my reason for not taking time out for myself! In the end I’m only allowing myself to become unbalanced. It’s soo important (as we all know) to do the stuff and things we love! Mine are:⠀
1) being at the beach dipping my feet in freezing cold water but secretly loving it whilst exploring the coral for any sea life⠀
2) listening to music, cycling to work on my mtb making jumps out of curbs with the Bose speaker pumping with a cap on backwards⠀
3) pulling out my yoga mat in our ‘stretching room’ and putting on MY own yoga play list and making up MY own flow⠀
4) just being in the presence of my partner not even needing to say anything cause it’s all unspoken anyway ⠀
5) admiring the trees and the feeling you get when in the forest surrounded my nature listening to the sounds it sends out ⠀
6) designing on my laptop ⠀
7) taking photos ⠀
8) wearing an outfit for the day that jumps out at me and not because it’s ‘fashionable’ ⠀
9) being around grounded ppl who talk about real things and alternative bits and bobs ⠀
10) watching or reading up organic anything ⠀
Im interested to hear some of yours?! 🤩⠀
This algorithm can go away now. Only 7% of my audience are actually seeing my posts, and vice versa 😑 ⠀
I remember the good ol’ days when I could see every post of those I followed in TIME ORDER! There are SO many hacks to build your account quickly these days, including the amount of likes you can receive on one post, and followers you can buy. It’s encouraging the creation of accounts that aren’t AUTHENTIC! It’s really frustrating for the small guy (gal). 😯⠀
Please like every post, then comment, so you can see more of my posts to help ORGANICALLY grow my audience 🥳 This’ll be a good indication of who out of my followers actually receive this 🤷🏽♀️ ⠀
From East to West...South might be best 😬👌🏼 seriously though, we fell in love with South Aus and all its hidden pockets of rock pools, blue lakes and sink holes like this one. We don’t know where we are going to end up, but if it is as lush as this, we will be happy 😆
Not having a car can be challenging yet extremely fun at the same time. We save a lot of money while exercising and it's more sustainable than a car!
We ride every single day whether its on adventures, to do our weekly shop or just to get to work.
Everyone should invest in a bike 🚴♂️ 🚴♀️
Feeling the absolute best i have felt since the big move 💙
At first it wasn't easy as my health can be persuaded by many different factors. Starting a new job after 6 months off and the difference in climates were probably my biggest struggle.
Finally I'm back to feeling great and can start to sort out my new home and future here on the Sunny Coast ☀️
When people ask what am I studying, they aren’t sure exactly what Communication Design means. 🤷🏽♀️ so what is it?! ⠀
The name in a way speaks for itself: we learn practical skills to communicate using emerging media, and learn how to create language through design. However I’ve also chosen electives in marketing so that’s another aspect☝🏽now, I can’t draw to save my life, so thankfully you don’t need to be an artist! 😅⠀
The degree allows you to work in a range of creative industries such as: branding, communications, publication design, advertising, merchandising, and so much more. What I like about it, it’s so diverse, and the degree teamed with my corporate background allows me to position myself well for future job prospects. ⠀
Since starting the degree I’ve come to realise I’m interested in heading into the tourism arena, mainly tourism development. Having been given a taste of strategy and business development previously, it’s something I’ve wanted to remain involved in.⠀
Interesting times ahead, looking forward to seeing where I end up! Somewhere, I hope! 🤞🏽😆⠀
