We are staying at JC Surfer’s house in Gerupuk Lombok. This morning JC came back from surf with his board in 2 pieces, stoked as ever and not too disappointed apart from the fact that he missed a few waves. Apparently he’s about to try to fix this one! This place is pretty awesome although we’ve seen some things in this part of the world that we wish we didn’t experience, but I guess that’s life... Lombok has some pretty good waves they say. Myself I don’t surf so I can’t really tell, but I always follow when there’s surf and to me they look pretty nice. Over here there’s no beach breaks but instead you take a boat to get to one of the waves you want to surf, be it ‘don don’, ‘inside’ or some other epic wave... I joined the team the other day, trying to capture som surf photography but unfortunately the boat was placed a bit behind the wave so no surf photos yet...
Slowly drifting, wave after wave… 🌊 Longing for the serenity of Curaçao? Here’s an idea: check out the less inhabited west side of the island to experience its secluded coves, hills, and old fishing villages. 🇨🇼 || #VacationsCount 📷: @curacaotb
Bus is, at this very moment, the only public transportation inside Hanoi, connecting almost every main street in the city. Many bus stops located near the tourist spots such as Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter and Ga Hanoi - the Hanoi Train Station. Just keep in mind the important bus routes
To be well prepared, bus terminals provide bus routes map that covers detailed information about the bus numbers, bus stops and the route. Very useful for us to arrange our itinerary.
Buses in Hanoi are easily recognizable with their red, white and yellow colors, with each bus has a number in red, made visible in front of the bus.
Dont worry about the price, as bus ticket price is pretty cheap, same to everyone, both local and foreigner.
Some buses (usually the one go through Old Quarter) have speakers announcing the next stop, but it’s in Vietnamese so it will be a bit hard to recognize the name. For that, just ask the bus driver or ticket collector, or nearest passenger, they will be more than happy to help.
As intimidating as it sounds, traveling by bus in Hanoi is a truly local experience 🚌
