Fossil fuels may be useful, but they are so so harmful..! 👣 💀
When burned, #fossilfuels release a gas called #CO2 🚗💨 This gas essentially blankets the earth, causing this thing called #globalwarming 🌍 🔥 Heard of it?
The frustrating thing about fossil fuels is that they are such a key part of a modern westernised lifestyle, that trying to go a whole day without using them is virtually impossible! However there are ways we can reduce the use of fossil fuels 🦕 - Walking 🚶♀️cycling 🚴🏾♂️ or using public transport 🚎🚂 rather than driving a private petrol-powered vehicle 🚗💨
- Holidaying closer to home, and avoiding travel by air ✈️
- Turning off electrical appliances when not using them, or reducing the amount of time you use them 📱 📺 💡 - Switching energy provider to renewable sources, such as @ecotricity 💡 - Cutting down on non-essential purchases, to reduce factory emissions 🏭 🛍 - Recycling materials wherever possible, to reduce the need for the sourcing of new materials ♻️ - Air-drying your laundry, rather than using a tumble dryer 🧺 ☀️ These are just a few tips on how we can reduce our individual impacts on climate change, and make a #positive difference! .

Traffic congestion is the result of our acute dependence on cars. It is this dependence which should be addressed without further delay. Unfortunately Government and its agencies are doing their utmost to avoid the elephant in the room.
There are many possible measures, including, a Bus Rapid Transit system (BRT), linking main localities with reserved lanes for buses in our roads.

#TELTheFullPicture “After observing the work that goes into the construction of the MRT tunnels and stations, I now have a better understanding and appreciation of the tough grind that takes place behind Singapore’s transport system.
The main challenges I faced during the shoot were the low-light, dusty and humid conditions at the underground construction site. However, with the Canon EOS R’s amazing sensor, I was able to capture tact-sharp images even at very high ISO. The 30.3 megapixels Canon EOS R and RF50mm f/1.2L USM lens was a perfect combination that produced solid details.” – Lemjay Lucas (@lemjaylucas), Canon EOS World Council Member
