✠ LUFTWAFFE DAY ✠
This past Saturday I had the pleasure of attending FHCAM's airshow. It was one of the first
events this year I was able to go without working with my reenactment group so it was a
pleasure to see the airshow from the front row.
Seeing these old warbirds fly reminded me how beautiful these machines really are and why I
love world war era technology. The purr of the engines as they taxi is impressive and the roar in
the sky is amazing to hear. Apologies for the background noise as I can't control the people
around me but I was happy to hear the engines clearly in each video.
If anyone is unsure or wondering the warbirds flown that day were (not in video order): - Messerschmitt Bf 109 (no video as there were brake problems upon landing so we did
not get the chance to see it taxi by) - Submarine Spitfire - Focke-Wulf 109 - Hawker Hurricane - Fieseler Storch
It was a great experience and I am always ecstatic to visit the wonderful staff and collection
down at FHCAM. I am blessed to be able to work with them as a reenactor and history
enthusiast. [ =Tags= #ww2#worldwar2#axis#german#europe#deutschland#history#war#warhistory#wehrmacht#warbirds#airshow#luftwaffe#fhcam#airplane#fighterplane#dogfight#spitfire#hurricane#messerschmitt ]
Munich, day two!! It was a very short trip for me, only a couple days long. But I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to travel like this! Hopefully I'll be able to visit Europe again soon 💖 until then, auf wiedersehen!!
